Repentance & Conviction

Are the most important parts to receiving redemption. Repentance: a sincere regret or remorse. There comes a moment in our lives in which we can no longer ignore that there is something wrong with the way we are living our life. We change our mindset acknowledging that only Jesus Christ can fill that void. We may not understand how it all works but we feel enough remorse to ask God for forgiveness and accept the gift of salvation through the price paid by Jesus Christ on Calvery.

Conviction: a firmly held belief or opinion. With the help of the Holy Spirit we become aware of the actions in our life that displease God and the fleeting joys of our flesh are no longer a joy. We work at doing things that please God, learning them through His word. It is ideal for Repentance & Conviction to occur at the same time but it's not always the case. You can still receive the gift of salvation today!

If this is you, I invite you to pray these words by King David. This is a moment between you and God. Only you can open your heart to Him, no one can do it for you. Life won’t be perfect with God and you may stumble but it will definitely be easier with Him and He will be there to pick you up as long as you let Him.

Prayer of Repentance: Psalms 51:1-12

Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight— That You may be found just when You speak,[a] And blameless when You judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me hear joy and gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

Arrepentimiento & Convicción

Son las partes más importantes para recibir redención. Arrepentimiento: un arrepentimiento sincero o remordimiento. Llega un momento en nuestras vidas en el qué ya no podemos ignorar qué algo anda mal con la manera qué vivimos nuestras vidas. Cambiamos nuestra manera de pensar reconociendo qué solo Cristo puede llenar ese vacío. Quizás no entedemos como funciona todo pero sentimos suficiente remordimiento qué le pedimos perdón a Dios y aceptamos el regalo de la salvación a través del precio pagado por Cristo en el Calvario.

Convicción: una creencia o opinion firmemente sostenida. Con la ayuda del Espíritu Santo tomamos conciencia de las acciones en nuestras vidas qué le desagradan a Dios y las alegrías fugasces de nuestra carne ya no son una alegría. Trabajamos en hacer cosas qué le agradan a Dios, aprendiéndolas a través de Su palabra. Es ideal de qué el Arrepentimiento y la Convicción occurran al mismo tiempo pero no siempre es el caso. Tú todavía puedes recibir el regalo de la salvación hoy!

Si este eres tú, te invito a orar estas palabras por el Rey David. Este es un momento entre tú y Dios. Solo tú puedes abrir tú corazón a Él, nadie lo puede hacer por ti. La vida no será perfecta con Dios y podrás caer pero definitivamente será más fácil con Él y Él estará hay para levantarte, siempre y cuando le dejes hacerlo.

Oración de Arrepentimiento: Salmos 51:1-12

Ten piedad de mí, oh Dios, conforme a tu misericordia; Conforme a la multitud de tus piedades borra mis rebeliones. Lavame más y más de mí maldad, y limpiame de mi pecado. Porque yo reconozco mis rebeliones, y mi pecado esta siempre delante de mi. Contra ti, contrati solo he pecado, y he hecho lo malo delante de tus ojos; Para que seas reconocido justo en tu palabra, y tenido por puro en tu juicio. He aquí, en maldad he sido formado, y en pecado me concibió mi madre. He aquí, tu amas la verdad en lo intimó, y en lo secretó me has hecho comprender sabiduría. Purificame con hisopo, y sere limpio; Lavame, y seré más blanco qué la nieve. Hazme oír gozó y alegría, y se recrearán los huesos qué has abatido. Esconde tú rostro de mis pecados, y borra todas mis maldades. Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpió, y renueva un espíritu rectó dentro de mí. No me eches de delante de ti, y no quites de mi tu Santo Espíritu. Vuelveme el gozó de tu salvación, y espíritu noble me sustenté.
